Valentine Gift Idea #5 is a fun project sure to delight your sweetie and become a special keepsake to be used year after year.  Make a shadow box with a Valentine saying on it and decorate the outside of the box to give it that special touch.  This project is easy to make and comes together in less than an hour.

QUICK TUTORIAL TO MAKE YOUR OWN SHADOW BOX FRAME:

1.  Purchase a shadow box frame from local craft store. I bought this 5X7 shadow box from Michaels craft store.

2. Select some pretty patterned paper to add to the inside backing of your shadow box frame and cut to fit the backing board.  I used my tape runner to adhere it to the backing to keep it in        place.  Replace in shadow box frame and close backing.

3.  Select and cut a valentine saying in vinyl using your die cut machine and apply to front of the glass using transfer tape.  Tip: Clean glass off with rubbing alcohol and allow to dry first         before apply vinyl so it adheres better.  I used Cricut Oracle 631 Vinyl for the “Be Mine” image and added some glitter heart stickers I had in my stash.

4.  Now you need to embellish the front of your shadow box to give it that extra special touch.  I used some gathered ribbon trim I had in my stash and attached it using double sided                   Scor-Pal Tape to hold it on to the bottom edge of the shadow box frame.  I used hot glue to add these three rose flowers to complete the decoration.

5.  I added a special love note to the back of the frame to give my sweetheart.

That’s all there is to it.  Super fast and a lovely gift for your sweetie this Valentines Day.  Stay tuned for two more Valentine Gift Ideas using your die cut machines.  Until tomorrow, happy die cutting !   Debbie
