Cricut released a new and improved Cricut Explore Cutting Guide as of today, 8/10/2014.  Yipee !  This is a comprehensive list that includes a large variety of material types, multi cuts needed, pressure settings, what blade to use, and even which of the Cricut Mats is best to use. You can read about the variety of Cricut mats available now to make working on various materials easier in my previous post HERE.

While I am glad to see this list, I was a little disappointed they did not provide a PDF version for us.  So guess what?  I made one to share with you all.  And I added a few special NOTES to help you using the list.  You can download a copy for your very own to keep handy. Feel free to share this but please give me credit for the pdf file.

      Hello,,
What Cricut explorer setting would one to use for 10, 15, 20 thou or .25mm, .375mm .5mm Plasticard/Styrene modelling card.
would be grateful for your help please

      1. Hello – Under custom settings you should see several you could use. Acetate setting might work well for the .5mm and for the others you could us the Transparency setting. If you need it to cut an extra time, go in a change the number of times in cuts in the custom setting by editing and saving it. Hope this helps. Debbie

Has anyone figured out the Explore settings for Contact/Shelf paper yet?

    1. Lots of people use the washi tape setting for contact paper with good success.
